DESTINATION: NEW HAVEN
Whether you come here for school, work, or play, New Haven is a slice of New England at its best. Settled in 1638 because of its natural deep-water port, it has thrived academically, culturally, and economically ever since.

THE ORIGINAL COLLEGE TOWN
Yale University is the largest employer in the city, and one of the oldest with roots traced back to the 1640s – well before its charter was granted in 1701. Many US Presidents have attended the ivied halls of Yale, but New Haven has other distinctions.
You won't want to miss this first authentic brontosaurus dominating the great hall of Yale's Peabody Museum, or the performances at Tony-winning theatres Yale Repertory Company and Long Wharf Theatre. And after any of these, experience diverse cultures through any of New Haven's authentic ethnic restaurants.
